Hi,

I can't use the dongle in my car yet, I hope will be a new firmware soon that allow me to use it.

Any way, I am setting my dongle up using scrcpy, and I am trying to use a VPN connection to be able to see ip cameras, use my Netflix account and so on, but I am getting this message when I try to activate it:

Error bringing up tunnel: VPN service not autorized by user

I think it may be for having screen lock disabled, but I can't enable it.

Does somebody know how to get rid of this issue?

If you are lazy like me and you want to try a working solution for auto-connecting your CarPC to your phone please read _this_ link and download Blue2Hotspot to your phone from there. The program will look for a Bluetooth connection to your CarPC and if a connection was found it will start the Wifi hotspot on your phone. You just have to wait for a little while before your CarPC will start the Wifi connection and then surfing, Netflix, Youtube and all the other programs will run like magic 😀.

Alternative Lauchers

Just to let you know: If you don't like the user interface which comes with CarPC you might use an alternative launcher which fits your needs. Keep in mind that you should be able to switch back to "Nitro Auto Launcher" for updates (other launchers might crash the update process). Recommended and tested launchers:

- Car Launcher (apps lab studio)

- Nova Launcher (TeslaCoil Software)

Others might work too, but I didn't test them. Your miles may vary.

RadioDroid

If I want to hear radio programs from all over the world without the need of an abo (paying money) I recommend RadioDroid from segler.,alex (for the time being there are 32032 stations listed (!). Should be enough for the moment 😀

Open Settings (DXldev)

If you think you can't modify enough settings on your CarPC you should try "Open Settings" from DXldev. This allows to open the standard Android setting menu - might be essential to modify e.g. permissions or to add some Bluetooth dongles. Hope that helps.

Update: Developers re-integrated the Android Setting's into CarPCpro firmware. Good move.
