Just to let you know: I was able to root the Streambox and I like the result. Even if Streambox and AADongle are distributed from the same company and both provide Android on your head unit they follow different connection attempts. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are different beasts...

what Is the robot result? What do you obtain more than not root?

Some programs can use root (for example FX file manager for modifying programs in ROM), you can use backup programs like Titanium backup, you can use programs like Advanced tools pro to manage tasks and so on. Even screen settings can be altered (changing screen to portrait if you can't reach all settings). All in all a lot more freedom for people who want to experiment. Downside: Some banking programs don't like root and don't work. But who uses them in the car?
