Dear all, if you didn't recognize until now: There is a new emergency update (version 2.4.88) waiting for you. It fixes the "Youtube not working" problem and sorts some additonal car connections (unfortunatelly not all). Please follow the instructions on screen.

For unknown reasons some CarPCs (including mine) don't see this emergency update yet, so I asked CarPC to send the full ROM to the forum. This way we can update CarPC by ourselves if the waiting time for the OTA seems too long and you know what to do. Here is the download link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14cFtOmUF6ddB9MQeaF47XW7Lw12HAJdD?usp=share_link . Please follow the link _here_ to get instructions how to update your CarPC pro.

This is still "work in process", don't expect all problems to be solved. Please report your findings here. Thanks

Bye for now  Fred

Edit: The head unit of my new Toyota GR86 responds to inserting my CarPC into the USB port and asks me to switch off Android Auto Bluetooth connection (was not before update). After switching off the CarPC is recognized! This is another success. Maybe this helps other people too: Check if your head unit is waiting for a connection through Bluetooth and if so, switch it off. CarPC needs a wired connection.

@tiosanturzi Javier, please be a bit more specific. What error messages? A description in detail will help to sort your problems.

it fails to flash an old imei, and it puts you all the time to put it.

I can't enable the sim in the carpc, for now!

@tiosanturzi  Javier, please install the MTK drivers again and probably use a different USB port (if possible). Allow at least 15 seconds between the "adb reboot bootloader" and "fastboot devices". If this command gets no response try to install adb/fastboot again. Your problems are driver/PC software related.

Regarding IMEI: Enter it, wait for a while, then just restart CarPC and dial *#06# to see the IMEI. MTK has all tools you need and they are working.

Bye for now  Fred

@tiosanturzi Javier, please try to download carpc-IMEI.zip: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Dhlc-EvceRlIXgMPpkTzbYEPui4Ujq2M/view?usp=sharing

File size in the forum is limited, so I can't send the files you asked for. Javier@tiosanturzi.com let me know if you were able to download.

Hi friend,

I can't enable the imei of the device, since the usb debugging is removed all the time and I can't get computer's adb to recognize it. This happens to me since I rooted the carpc.

Could you help me please?

Thanks.

@tiosanturzi Javier, then you have to switch it on again. Therefore you have to enable Developer mode. Do you see the little ^ in the lower left corner of the screen? Swipe up and you'll see all programs installed. Open Android settings, scroll down to System -> Advanced -> About phone, tap 7 times on Build number, go back one menu level and you'll find a new line "Developer options". Open it and scroll down to Debugging and enable USB debugging. That should solve your ADB problem.

Bye for now  Fred

I already do that Fred, but he always ends up disabling debugging again, and it's a bit hard to go to the car to enable it again.

Before rooting I could see the android emulator with vysor correctly.

@mamdouh Never use "formatting" when flashing, just use "Firmware upgrade". When formatting you might destroy IMEI number...
