Got this info today: Google update has forced us (CarPC Team) to release a new update:

Some of the issues reported during the last couple of weeks are fixed, others are still under development. Hopefully AndroidAuto development will slow down and/or future changes will be compatible with older versions. Not like now - they drive the developers (and me) crazy with all their changes...
