Hello, my Carpc Pro works perfectly on my Toyota C-HR. Everything is up to date, except Android auto on play store which refuses to update.

@mistermda Because AndroidAuto is a patched version Playstore can't update it (several other programs need a spevial version too, so some programs might refuse to update or will be useless after updating). Never change a running system 🙂. Keep it as it is as long as it works for you.

Good evening, there is a Google update on the Play Store. Is there a risk of spoiling everything if I realize it?

@mistermda Sorry for the late reply, this week was busy for me. Back to topic: Worst case you have to start from scratch (flashing an old version), best case it works out of the box. Programs which should not be updated usually refuse to update (see AndroidAuto). Just try it and report back if you run into another problem.

Bye for now  Fred

Hello, I updated Google, Netflix and maps, installed Gmail and Chrome, and everything works perfectly. So only Android auto which does not update. Let's hope it stays like this.

@oaks Sorry for the late reply. I was sure that CarPC will work again with the current update. Thanks for letting us know.

Regarding the top line on the screen (notification bar): As far as I know this is a part of Android and can't be changed by the user. You need to root to run programs to modify this setting.

Hi Zadar, Please be more patient. After downloading the OTA the stick has to modify several programs/settings which need several reboots and up to 10 Minutes.

  • Up to 10 times reboot might occure.
  • If it's more often I think you need to perform a factory reset (initiate using PC, then move to the car for reboot(s)).
  • If it still does not work for you you have to reflash to an older version, your CarPC then will udate to 2.6.0.0 again (by OTA using the connnection to internet you setup). This time it will work. Please be super patient, the update needs "a long time".

Good luck. Let us know which way worked for you. Thanks

Bye for now  Fred
