Buenas tardes. He recibido hace dos semanas mi unidad 4g. Estoy desesperado. Ayuda!!

Good afternoon. I received my 4g unit two weeks ago. Everything works fine, pccar unit connects to car head unit with no problem, data works, wifi works, gps works. I insert the SIM into the pccar unit and everything works ok, data, gps, I can make and receive calls (it is true that it gets hot and disconnects after a while of use). The problem is as follows: When I connect my phone to the pccar unit via bluetooth, I can't make or receive calls (the message is Mobile network not available). I've been through the forums, I've done all the steps I can figure out to try and fix the problem, but I can't get this to work. It is basically the reason for the purchase, to be able to join my phone to the pccar through bluetooth. I'm desperate. Aid!!
@moisesceltacarpc Moisés, do you use a data only SIM in CarPC? Or is it a full SIM? Do you use different numbers on phone and CarPC? Depending on your answers the response will be different.
Bye for now Fred
Good morning Fred. I use a single SIM for both the phone and the pccar. It is a complete sim, data and calls. It's the same number, same SIM.
@moisesceltacarpc Moisés, this will be a long answer.
Running your mobile and your CarPC on the same network using the same number should result in both ringing when a call comes in (because phone and CarPC are independent from each other). From your description CarPC doesn't ring because there is no network. Please follow the _article_ here to see what causes the connection problem. There are two possibilities: We can sort out the problem with your provider (maybe changing IMEI number) or you can follow my way to connect. Follow this description and it will work:
- Download "Blue2Hotspot" from xda-developers to your phone and install it (see _here_).
- Start CarPC, open settings on your phone and connect your phones bluetooth to your CarPC.
- Again open settings on your phone and start a "Mobile Hotspot" (a Wifi hotspot, setup a network name and a password)
- Open CarPC settings and connect to your hotspot. After entering your password (step 3) it will connect.
- On your mobile open Blue2Hotspot, enable service and set hotspot to CarPC. From now on it will connect automatically.
What happens when you start your car the next time: CarPC boots (30-40 sec), if your phones Bluetooth is enabled CarPC automatically connects to your phone. Now Blue2Hotspot opens a hotspot and CarPC connects to it via Wifi. Phone calls will be routed through CarPC to your head unit. This way you can remove the SIM card from CarPC (no temperatur and no provider problems anymore). Only drawback is the time your systems needs to start up, in my case it takes up to 90 seconds before Google maps is responding.
Bye for now Fred
I don't mind waiting 90 seconds, if I get it to work it's ok. I will try to follow the steps you have given me. We are in contact. Thank you
@ap756-fred I've tried all the steps and can't get it to work. The problem is that in order to connect the phone to the carpc unit I have to open an access point manually, if I don't do this beforehand, my phone doesn't connect to the carpc via bluetooth.
@moisesceltacarpc Moisés, just a short note: There IS a problem in connecting a phone via Bluetooth to CarPC and after some flashes I'm able to reproduce your findings! Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have enough time to inform the developers. For the time being there is no solution for Bluetooth calling.
So we have to connect the SIM inserted to CarPC to your provider. Hopefully we can manage this...
Bye for now Fred (time to go to sleep)
NB: Again I'm doing your job: Good morning. Thanks for your time. I await further news. The function for which I bought the unit fails, for me it is essential that this work, otherwise it will only be another piece of plastic in a drawer.
