(@lm_) Sorry for the late answer. The reason for that change in behavior isn't known yet. Please check and/or try to change AndroidAuto settings. If that fails a downgrade to 2.5.10 might help. Again, sorry, no better answer fot the time being.

After more days of use, I noticed that the system takes longer to boot up, constantly crashes, Google maps are not adapted to the screen. In addition, after I put the car in reverse and see the factory rearview camera after returning to carpc I see a black screen for a long time.

@lm_ , please try the new update 2.5.24 (not sure if it's available via OTA). You can download from my Google drive. Developers are busy to sort out all these bombs Google implements into AndroidAuto...

I asked you to access the files on your drive.
It shows me the option to update from the device but I have tried 10x and there is an error all the time. I restored the factory settings and still after several attempts to update it shows an error and aborts the update.

I installed 2.5.10 (unfortunately version 2.5.18 is no longer on the disk)
I don't know what and how to do now to upload 2.5.24. I downloaded the image file from disk but when I do everything according to the above tutorial I can't select Firmware upgrade only download?!
All the time I can't do the update from carpc. It starts downloading and suddenly stops and reports an error

@lm_ OTA sometimes is cumbersome. That's the reason I asked the developers to distribute flashable firmware at the same time the provide the OTA. My Google Drive is limited, so when 2.5.24 software came I had to delete the "buggy" 2.5.18...

Please try again with 2.5.24 firmware. Because you already did a factory reset you should be able to use "firmware upgrade"

I can't select Firmware upgrade option. turns out to be an error (see attach). i downloaded everything from your disk

@lm_ Well, time to start from scratch. Please remove SP_Flash_Tool from your PC and download a fresh copy from _here_. Unzip on your hard disk and start "as administrator". A fresh copy of the scatter file you have to use can be found in folder ...2.5.24...\image\MT6765_Android_scatter.txt. Checked both uploads again, they are without failure. Try again and you'll succeed.

success. After many attempts and combinations, it finally worked. my device is somehow defective from the beginning 🙁
I see that a lot has changed for the better. But I see that now I have a problem because I can't turn off BT in carpc. The carpc disconnects my phone from the car and for the carpc to work the BT must be on (turns on automatically as soon as it is turned off ). This complicates things a bit. But this confirms the sound problems from the previous soft. Now, I've been combining with other settings but then it also turns off my car's factory radio right away
There is a problem with google maps display. more than half of the map screen is obscured (picture).

I can see that now it will be a lot of fun to set everything up. The worst thing is that if they keep changing AndroidAuto there will be problems with Carpc all the time 🙁

@lm_ Please keep in mind that CarPC is designed to be "the boss" over your car system. Therefore I think most of your requests will not work from factory, anyway there are a lot of possibilities you might try to reach your goal. For the time being I'm occupied with other projects and can't guide you step by step. You'll just get a few hints for now:

Left lower corner of the screen is a little ^, swipe it up and you'll see all programs installed. You can change this by using an alternative launcher (I prefer Nova).You'll find two setup programs, one for CarPC, the second is standard Andoid setup. Here you can switch off Bluetooth. If you were able to sort your sound problem we might concentrate on applications like Maps.

Regarding updates of AndroidAuto: Yes, any major update requires additional programming from developers to adapt these changes. Usually this is done within a couple of days and will be distributed OTA - which fails sometimes as you noticed. Don't worry, all updates will be published in the forum as soon as they are availabe and passed basic tests.

Have fun setting up CarPC to your needs and please publish your findings (here are enough passive nembers who profit from your ideas and some active ones - like me - too). Thanks for keeping the forum alive and me busy 😉

Pues después de los problemas con la versión 2.5.18 y no poder actualizar a 2.5.24, decidi bajar a 2.5.10. Una vez ahí probé la actualización vía ota a 2.5.24 y se realizó con éxito. Pero sigo con el mismo problema que con la 2.5.18. En el ordenador con mirroid, funciona perfectamente pero cuando voy al coche, casi nunca hace la conexión y cuando la hace, la pantalla queda en negro y no puedo hacer nada. Tras unos minutos, el led se pone naranja y ahí se queda. Alguna Solución? Espero nuevas actualizaciones que resuelvan este problema.
