For some reason my post disappeared, maybe it’s because I have nothing good to say about this product.  Received unit plugged it into vehicle. It worked for first try. Took it out tried about 1 hour later, nothing. Took it in and plugged it into computer with mirroid. Unit worked fine, says software version 2.0.0.0. Can’t find any way to update. Yellow light on unit. Put back in vehicle and after many tries got logo to show up. That’s it, nothing else but logo. Supposed to be new unit, all updates done and not beta anymore. Not happy. And company never answers e-mail. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Might as well use it for a decoration.

Joe, here is it, your message. Due to lots of spammers your topic has to be approved (done after 3h20min). Please be more precise to give CarPC-Team (and me) a chance to give a good answer. Which car, model year, which version of CarPC (with or without LTE) etc.? The more info the bigger the chance to get a qualified answer. Thanks.

@ap756-fred  2021 Chevy Colorado Pick Up. I have the pro model with LTE. It has version 2.0.0.0 software. When hooked up to computer it works with a yellow light. When put in truck it sometimes boots to  logo then blank screen. Other times it goes blue then turns yellow. It has only worked the first time I used it for about 10 minutes. Tried it again tonight with  mirroid and it boots up but wants to update all programs. Tried again in truck, blue, logo then nothing. As far as Carpc    team I have sent them 5 e-mails with same info and not ever a reply. Starting to think I wasted my money. Worst customer service I have ever seen.

@jcamp You must be quite young, in my exprience this service response time can be topped easily 😏 . 

Yellow: Connection established using ADB bridge. Steady blue: Connection through AndroidAuto protocol established and head unit waits for a valid screen signal. 

Solution: Reflash CarPC manual as described _here_. Please be super patient (I know this isn't easy for a young man) and follow this proved procedure. Most likely it will work after that.

Not young at all. 82 on this end, retired. Not being impatient but 5 e-mails with no response is a little unexpected. As far as reflashing the unit this is something that should be out of the question. I purchased a unit after waiting a long time and I expect it to work out of the box. After reading all of the reviews on this unit which are all over the internet I’m sure I got scammed. I haven’t found one review that says the unit works as expected including you. If I could find one review anywhere on the web I would feel just a little better but other than a few YouTube videos which I’m sure are from the company itself there are none. Still trying to figure out how I am on software version 2.0.0. Looks like I got a beta unit. I will try to reflash as per your instructions but right now I am not a believer.

@jcamp Joe, you got the crown (I'm 15 years younger). You are as young as you feel. Back to topic: You got a gmail account and you got the rights to download the ROM and the 7zip program from my personal CarPC folder. There is no need for any external program. If you followed the link in my instructions you got all files needed (in your case 2.5.18 is it). PS: As far as I know there is is no other solution on the market which uses AndroidAuto as protocol. Because AndroidAuto updates every couple of weeks the developers are constantly fixing the new bugs and changes. In my opinion they can't finish their product before AA isn't finished, for me it's still beta.

@ap756-fred  I guess I'm a dummy I follow your instructions to a t. It keeps asking for a ROM and if I click OK nothing happens I have everything checked have the scatter file and download agent. Still asks for a ROM. What am I doing wrong

@jcamp Joe, did you expand CarPC 2.5.18 LTE full.7z? This will generate a folder structure. After deciding which version you want to flash and changing into that folder you'll find the correct  MT6765_Android_scatter.txt which will load all files needed from this folder (see pic).

@ap756-fred  thanks for all the help but I am done with this. I have done exactly as you said my screen has the same folders as yours but it won’t let me do anything. Message comes up saying select one Rom before execution. 2 options, ok and help. If I click ok and then download message comes up again..on the bottom there are no files listed like yours. Thanks but I’m done

@ap756-fred Thank you for all your help, you tried. I bought a Carlinkit 2023 max12 box. It works out of the box. Everything works, just plug and play. Very fast with no problems. Does it cost more, yes it does but I got a $100 discount special on Amazon. Almost the same amount I paid for the Carpc but this works. Check it out. Again thanks.
